What You Will Receive With Your Tower Garden
Your aeroponic Tower Garden is delivered to your home with everything you need to start growing your herbs, vegetables, fruits or flowers:
In your starter set you will have the following elements:
- the seeds
- a germination tray (minni-greenhouse)
- rockwool cubes (to start your seedlings)
- vermiculite
- baskets to deposit your seedlings in the tower
- a submersible pump with timer
- a drain tube
- a water monitor (HOME model only)
- Tower Garden Mineral Blend plant food (1 qt. of each)
- a measuring cup
- a PH test kit and two bottles of adjusters (PH + and PH -).
Once your tower is unpacked, it will take you about 20-25 minutes to assemble (demonstration video and assembly manual are available to help you do this).Tower
It is also possible to add a support cage to the tower. You can also add a horticultural lighting system (LED) if you plan to grow indoors.
Technical Explanation of How The Tower Garden Works
Plants grow in a rockwool medium, without soil
You will begin to grow seedlings using the kit you receive with each Tower Garden (unless you decide to purchase seedlings). When your seedlings are ready — usually three weeks after germination — you can plant them in your Tower Garden.
Instead of growing in soil, plants grow in a medium called rockwool, which provides continuous oxygen and moisture to plant roots, promoting rapid and healthy growth.
Reservoir stores nutrient solution for plants
Tower Garden Mineral Blend, this exclusive nutrient solution feeds the plants. Blending pure earth minerals essential for healthy plant development, the Mineral Blend provides a completely natural “short cut” for plants, which usually must feed on decaying organic matter in the soil. This increases nutrient supply and promotes a higher growth rate for a multitude of plants.
Simply fill the Tower Garden tank while combining the mineral mix with good quality water.
The solution cascades down and nourishes the plants in the garden tower
A submersible pump pushes the nutrient solution from the reservoir to the top of the tower through the small central rod. The nutrient solution flows inside the Tower Garden and coats the exposed roots of the plants within.
A timer is responsible for repeating the process continuously to provide the ideal amount of oxygen, water and nutrients to the plants at the right time (two watering modes; indoor or outdoor).
After just a few weeks, the plants are ready for harvest!
Aside from performing a few minor maintenance tasks, like checking water levels and cleaning the pump filter, the Tower Garden takes care of the rest. After just a few weeks, you’ll be enjoying fresh, home-grown fruits and vegetables harvested when it’s most convenient for you.
